my great drive today
Today I had to drive to Canandaigua to visit up with some clients. I took the back roads instead of the thruway. OH MY GOD --it was just georgous country up that way! I am definately going to be taking a day road trip up that way on a weekend one of these days. There were so many nice old homes and quaint towns along the way. Did you know that Jello was created in LeRoy? They have a Jello Museum in that town too. I think it would be fun to find little hidden treasures like that, rent a bus and go visit them for the day;perhaps pick out a unique restaurant --even the Red Osier and just enjoy each other's company as well as the sites we visit. Anyone out there interested in a fall trip?

nothing like a good road trip
namaste matilda,
i couldn't agree with you more, thats a nice area. there's so many places around the western new york area, that would be great to hit up. there's nothing like going out for a ride, with no particular place to go in mind, and accidently coming across a place like an old mom and pop's diner, or a good nature trail(thats how i found the scarbuck trail out in the east otto / colden area) im more than up to doing a bus ride some place for the day.

Re: my great drive today
When I get a job...and spending money...I would love to go to Rochester in the fall and stop at http://www.schuttsapplemill.com/store.html schutts Apple Farm..it is a country store/farm and sells Apple Cider Frosties ...we could also go to the Public Market in Rochester too. I used to live in Rochester for 7 years and miss it. Ex whatever (separated hubby) and I did this once a year...it was nice. Buffalo Brew Pub on Main Street and Transit is a good place for a beer in Williamsville. For dinner in Rochester there is Dinasaur BBQ...California Rollin for Sushi Lovers...the Highland Diner...etc. We should do more things like this..than the bars!!

i totally agree heidi..we have a big calling to do other things than go to a bar.. its nice to have the liberty to do that now without such restrictive rules on hosting an event ... after the Primary sept 9th i will be announcing a few events ..just havent had much time on my hands these days with the campaigns going on...

a couple of good places to catch the autumn foliage, would be either at zoar valley, or chestnut ridge. maybe we can see whose interested and maybe look into chartering a bus for the trip down there and back.
